FOREST OF DREAMS
and other journeys of
THE RED ROAD

Dawn, Ellenborough Falls Ellenborough Falls Many of the poems in Part One of this book, flow from my deep love for the Great Dividing Range and the magnificent rugged beauty of the Eastern escarpment.

I spent some rewarding and special times deep in forest ranges, in and along rugged valleys and by creeks and rivers of the major catchment areas of “The Divide”, completing the poems and stories this year i.e. 2006.
Jessie, my Blue Dog mate, had many thrills cooling off in The Myall, The Barnard, The Ellenborough — and many other rivers — while at nightime, lying on the end of my swag with wide eyes peering into and listening to the sounds of the forest night.

Part Two features accounts of times past — spent with friends and associates in different places around the country.
Fun and mad times with my best mate Mick — also tributes to people such as Fred Hollows, Slim Dusty, Denis Kevans and Chris Kempster.
Also included are four poems written for or about children.

Much love, passion and dedication went into the work in this book and I am sure everyone will find something for themselves within the pages.

Travel well on your own Journey!
